Common Massage Practice, Etiquette & Policy
-
Dress down to your personal comfort level for table massage and facial treatments. Most facials include limb, neck and decollete massage. Removal of all clothing is recommended to provide you with the utmost muscle massage coverage. You can be confident proper sheet draping techniques will be used in all therapies to protect modesty and to keep you warm and comfortable. Stay fully clothed for chair massage.
-
Please refrain from wearing scents to therapy sessions as they can interfere with the use of Aromatherapies.
-
Please turn phone ringers down and keep noise levels down to a minimum.
-
Communicate massage pressure and tender areas with your therapist for the most effective treatment and remember to breathe deeply.
-
For us to be able to provide you a quality service without distraction or interruption, we ask that you do not bring anyone to your scheduled appointment. Children are not to be left unattended at any time. Please do not bring children to appointments unless they are receiving treatment.
-
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business
meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just
a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be
effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we
have adopted the following policies:
-
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows
the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
-
If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full
amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled
appointment.
-
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for
whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged for their “missed”
appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.
-
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your
session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow
yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there
is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment
actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.
-
Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan
accordingly and be on time. Existing clients should arrive at least 5 minutes early
and new clients must arrive 10 minutes early to complete a health history evaluation form. Please wait patiently for the door to be unlocked.
-
Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made will result in immediate termination of the session and the client will be liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.
-
Please refrain from wearing colognes and perfumes to treatment sessions. Deep Roots Massage is an intimate wellness facility that utilizes all natural and organic products to help encourage and promote a toxic-free lifestyle for optimum health and wellness. Essential oil plant medicine is an important instrument used to orchestrate a symphony of healing for the mind, body and spirit. The interruption of synthetic ingredients greatly reduces its efficiency and effectiveness. We are happy to answer any questions you might have regarding our line of pure plant essentials (which can be also worn as a body fragrance or diffused in the air), and all natural, plant based, low-smoke premium Japanese joss sticks. These wellness tools actually raise your vibrational frequency and remove ions from the air that cause harmful pollutants. In fact, scientific studies have shown that smudging your home with sage and other herbs greatly reduces harmful bacteria and clears negative emotional tension that may be clinging to you or your surroundings. Feel free to read more about that HERE! We greatly appreciate your conscious consideration to omit the use of synthetic perfumes/colognes/body lotions when visiting your wellness center so that guests (with or without allergies and sensitivities) can gain the most benefits from their treatment sessions.
